Rav Berg continues…

The great Kabbalist Rav Yehuda Ashlag established the Kabbalah Centre in 1922. When he passed away, Rav Yehuda Tzvi Brandwein took the reins of the centre into his hands. Rav Berg was one of the students of Brandwein, and as per the Kabbalah Centre’s sites, Rav Brandwein designated Rav Berg to continue the Kabbalah Center. For over thirty years Rav Berg and Karen Berg have been managing and maintaining (and growing) the Kabbalah Centres around the world.

Use Kabbalah!

I was surfing around, and I found this very unique and deep thought I would like to share. I was surfing looking for my usual Kabbalah searches, as well other spiritual sites, and when coming to one of the sites I often visit, that of the Kabbalah Centre, I came across this:

“Kabbalah has always been meant to be used, not just learned. Its purpose is to bring clarity, understanding, and freedom to our lives - and ultimately to erase even death itself.”

“To erase even death” - Wow!

Essential teachings of the Kabbalah

The Kabbalah has been in existence for thousands of years. Over this time, the great Kabbalah teachers, Rabbis and sages have espoused the essential teachings of the Kabbalah that everyone has inbred potential for greatness. What this potential is, how do you identify it and unleash it are the questions that you must address A.S.A.P.

Find the way to employ your innate potential. The Kabbalah is the means for realizing your individual potential.

The Center of Kabbalah

The Kabbalah Center, established and managed by Rav Berg and Karen Berg, his wife, maintains a number of very interesting online resources and different internet sites. On these sites, the Kabbalah Centre’s teachers explain that the Kabbalah and the Zohar, which is the prime work of the Kabbalah, and which is the center of what they teach, is “the world’s oldest body of spiritual wisdom.” This an interesting claim which begs investigation, especially today when many people are searching for the meaning of life and their existence.

Names and their significance?

There is great meaning to the names of God and this a main teaching of the Kabbalah Center. There may also be deep spiritual significance to individual’s names. Interesting, isn’t it?

Does the name you are given at birth hold special significance?
Are there astrological influences? Mystical, spiritual or religious significances to names? I wonder if the Kabbalah Centre has any teachings on this - anybody?

Feeling Better

Sometimes you get down. No two ways about it. So what do you do to get out of the rut. I have a few things I do. Listen to music, go for walks, talk to wife, play with kids.

Sometimes, however, it is more an existential “bad mood” than merely feeling down. (Of course I am not at all downplaying feeling down, but understand that being upset, down and depressed is different to being frustrated or confused about life.)

So. what do I do? Talk to the wife.

And aside from that? Read and study. One idea is to take a look at Kabbalah. Anyone else have these problems? Anyone try the Kabbalah Center at http://kabbalahcentre.org?

A look at the Zohar

The Zohar is the ancient text which forms the basis of the Kabbalah. The bad news is that it is written in Aramaic - which is a Semitic language based on Hebrew. The good news is that there are tons of good lectures and lessons on the site of the Kabbalah Center who have succeeded in bringing the ancient texts to the English public.

Kabbalah Centers

There are many Kabbalah Centers that have been opened following the success of the first Kabbalah Centre by Rav Berg and his wife Karen Berg. The Kabbalah Centers have opened up around the U.S. and the world, and they offer the opportunity to experience the wisdom and spirit of the Kabbalah, as interpreted by the Bergs and their team of lecturers and teachers.

One of the positives of the advent of the Kabbalah Center and other institutions that teach Kabbalah is that what is an esoteric subject consisting of sources in Hebrew and Aramaic has been opened to the masses in their own language, and in a manner that they can comprehend.

Study Kabbalah

I have finally started learning about the Kabbalah. I have been meaning to do so ever since I heard about the Kabbalah and the wisdom that it gives you, as well as the life changing effects it can have.

I have also heard about the Kabbalah Center and its various teachers, Rav Berg, Karen Berg, and others, and so all this together got me to finally to do something about it.

There is quite a bit of content on the internet if you don’t want to go all the way to the Kabbalah Centre, or if you don’t live near a branch of the Kabbalah Center. Rav Berg and Karen Berg can also be seen in Youtube videos, and there is also stuff of the Bergs and the Kabbalah Centre available for purchase.
